Having served for 3,188 days before his resignation in September 2020, Shinzo Abe is the longest-serving Prime Minister in Japanese history and has undoubtedly impacted regional geopolitics. In collaboration with UCL Japan Society, we invited Professor Masaru Kohno from Waseda University to evaluate the policies of the Abe administrations and their implications on regional international relations.
About the speaker:
Masaru Kohno is a professor from the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University. He specialises in contemporary Japanese politics, political behaviour and international relations, and has published numerous books and articles on these fields. Professor Kohno holds a MA in International Relations from Yale and a PhD in Political Science from Stanford and has previously taught at University of British Columbia.
